Festiva Review – Paradise Harbour ClubWill definitely returnWe just spent a week with friends in a 2 BR, 2 Bath condo. Check online photos. It is just as the photos show...no surprises. Rooms were cleaned daily, spacious, and bedrooms were separated for privacy. Staff was very accommodating. The highlight was happy hour at Columbus Tavern, 40 steps from our condo. MiLadys makes the best tropical drinks and complimentary conch fritters were a treat. Food there was also very good. Taxis were readily available thru front desk. Beautifully maintained grounds. Hotel made us feel like we were really in Paradise!!We cannot say enough good things about this hotel. At first I was a bit skeptical as the cab driver did not know where it was and it is quite secluded. (Ask for the Columbus Tavern Restaurant). We had a 2 bedroom suite which was spotless and fully equipped, including a kitchen that was completely stocked with all things needed for cooking (save the food). The Columbus Tavern Restaurant was lovely, open aired. It was perfection eating a local meal while watching the ships and gulls go by and the Caribbean Breeze cooling us off. The staff will drive you to the beach (a quick walk if you like) and if they are available they will drive you in the golf cart to the local market also. Going into Nassau by boat from the hotel was a highlight of our trip (all of the hotel’s transportation was complimentary). Cabbage Beach is one of the finest you will ever see. A short walk up the beach you can go parasailing, banana boating, jet skiing, the kids loved it (bring cash). Since we knew we had a kitchen, we brought snacks and non-perishables with us and bought the makings for breakfast and lunches at the local market. Food is expensive anywhere you go, so bring what you can. Although we had snacks with us, I would have brought nonperishable food (peanut butter etc) and get bread, eggs, etc there. We have been home for a day now, and miss our beautiful balcony view, extremely pleasant staff, beautiful beaches and island perfection. So glad we picked this one!Paradise Island is absolutely gorgeous. Don't stay on the mainland! It's a different world out on Paradise Island. The landscaping is beautiful and well maintained, flowers are everywhere, you can walk or bicycle on the sidewalks day or night without a thought for your safety, everything you need is right down the road from the hotel... restaurants (we loved the Green Parrot on the harbor, an outdoor burger bar), shops (the Paradise Splash has great souvenirs), a bank, a small grocery store (very expensive), an ice cream shop... We went exploring on the bicycles (furnished by the hotel) and discovered Cabbage Beach only about 5 minutes away. Wow, a perfect, pristine, uncrowded beach like you've never seen. We found the Village Marina near Atlantis, a wonderful place to hang out at night... with shops, pizza, music, yachts... See the aquarium at Atlantis (go thru the casino and walk in free after 8pm), go on the Flying Cloud sunset cruise (includes supper and transportation), and don't forget to snorkel (Stuart Cove's). It was the best vacation I've ever been on. Yvette and Michelle at the front desk were so helpful. There is a huge condo project going up directly in front of the hotel, so our place was kinda tucked away behind it. But we loved coming home to a quiet place with a wonderful view of the marina. The rooms are immaculate and very large. I loved the tile floors. The balcony/patio is huge. We traveled all over Paradise Island (on the bikes! ) and all the hotels are lovely, but we were so glad we picked this one. It was perfect for us.
